bp discusses new opportunities for successful energy partnership with Azerbaijan

Gordon Birrell, bp’s Executive Vice President - production & operations, paid a three-day working visit to Azerbaijan starting Monday, October 25.

Gordon Birrell completed the full agenda of his successful visit and returned to London yesterday night.

This was one of his planned regular visits. Birrell had meetings with bp business leadership and staff in the region and visited the bp-operated Shah Deniz Bravo platform and the Sangachal Terminal.

Gordon Birrell’s visit program also included meetings with Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, and SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev. During the meetings, Birrell discussed bp-operated projects in the region, as well as plans and new opportunities for continuing a successful energy partnership with Azerbaijan.
