Azerbaijan increases excise taxes on alcoholic beverages, including cognac

The excise tax on alcohol, strong alcoholic drinks and cognac will be increased by 0.8 manats ($0.47) per liter.

In this regard, changes are proposed to the Tax Code.

According to the current Code, the price for each liter of drinking alcohol (including non-denatured ethyl alcohol containing not less than 80% alcohol; non-denatured ethyl alcohol containing less than 80% alcohol), vodka, strong alcoholic drinks, liqueurs and liqueur products, cognac and cognac products is 3.2 manats ($1.88). After the increase, it will be 4 manats ($2)
