Azerbaijan joins Turkish action, 111,000 trees to be planted

Azerbaijan will once again join the large-scale campaign of the brotherly country to support the mass tree planting held in Turkey on November 11 under the slogan "Breath into the future!"

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov told journalists that we would plant a total of 111,000 trees on November 11 as part of the campaign initiated by Turkey, which will be a symbolic contribution to the great movement of the brotherly country.

He noted that large-scale tree planting events would be held in the Karabakh region with great enthusiasm, and 1,111 trees of different species, seeds will be planted in the Zangilan region alone.

The Deputy Minister added that large-scale tree planting activities implemented by Azerbaijan such as "Green Marathon", "Planting 44,000 trees across the country", and support to campaign "Breath into the future!" also contribute to the implementation of the country's commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adopted at the 26th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 26) and the initiatives to which it joins.
