Iranian FM meets with Russian officials

Alexander Lavrentiev, the Russian president's special envoy for Syria, and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin arrived in Tehran, Iran, reported from Yeni Shafak.

They met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and discussed bilateral and regional issues, as well as the situation in Syria.

The Iranian minister noted that Syrians' discussion of the problems among themselves is the only way out of the crisis in the country. He also stressed that Tehran and Moscow should work together for stability in Syria.
