Iran wants to quadruple car exports to Azerbaijan

Iran plans to export 1,400 cars to Azerbaijan this year, which is 1,000 or 3.5 times more than last year, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Gasemi told a meeting of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission in Tehran,reported from Iranian media.

The Iranian minister added that Khodro is ready to produce trucks and buses in Azerbaijan, and his country is ready to support the export of Iranian cars produced in Azerbaijan.

He also noted that there are problems in the transportation sector in Azerbaijan: "In the past, transit was comfortable and normal, but recently we have witnessed certain difficulties in terms of fees and transportation costs."
