200th anniversary of Ashig Alasgar to be celebrated in Turkey

The chair of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis Ganira Pashayeva will visit Ankara and Istanbul on November 25, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told journalists.

Pashayeva will take part in the 200th anniversary of Ashig Alasgar, a prominent representative of the art of Azerbaijani Ashiq, which will be held through TURKSOY. The event will focus on Ashig Alasgar's life and work and examples from his literary heritage.

Pashayeva will also attend the presentation of the book "Selected Poems of Ashig Alasgar" translated by famous Turkish writer Kenan Charboga.

The visit will end on November 28.
