Ambassador: Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are at highest level

Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are at the highest level; they can be characterized as a strategic and fraternal partnership, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev said speaking at the webinar "25 years of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: achievements and prospects", organized by the Center for International Relations (AIR Center).

"The great merit in strengthening friendly ties between our countries belongs to the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and the current Presidents of the countries, Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, continue this policy," he said.

The ambassador spoke about the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan on many global platforms such as the UN, OSCE and the CIS. "It is deeply symbolic that it was within the framework of the meeting of the Turkic Council in Baku in 2019 that Uzbekistan became a full member of this organization," the ambassador added.
