UN GA President thanks Azerbaijani Permanent Representative

President of the United Nations General Assembly Abdullah Shahid thanked Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Yashar Aliyev for his support to the resolution on vaccine equity, reported from his Twitter account.

"Ambassador Yashar Aliyev, thank you for your support for vaccine equity," the President of the UN General Assembly wrote on Twitter.

Azerbaijan supported the UN General Assembly resolution on vaccine equity. According to the Permanent Mission, Azerbaijan is proud to support New Year’s resolution on Vaccine Equity by the UN GA President and will continue its leadership role as Chair of Non-Aligned Movement in global efforts to provide safe, effective and accessible vaccination for every single person in every part of the world.

"I join the 76th President of the General Assembly’s ‘New Year’s Resolution’. I stand for vaccine equity,” said a statement on behalf of Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Yashar Aliyev.
