Azerbaijan registers 12 patients with Omicron strain

Azerbaijan has announced the number of people infected with Omicron,reported from the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, and the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units.

According to the statement, 12 people, who came to Azerbaijan from abroad, were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 21K Omicron.

"The results of researches show once again that the most effective way of getting protected against new and rapidly spreading dangerous variants of the virus is vaccination. As a result of active participation of the population in vaccination, the epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan has remained stable," the joint statement adds
