Ministry: Azerbaijan’s budget deficit was 67% less than forecast

The state budget deficit in Azerbaijan made up 1,017 million manats in 2021, while it was projected at 3,116 million manats, reported from the Finance Ministry.

Thus, the budget deficit is 67.4% less than the forecast.

According to the report, the deficit was compensated by foreign loans (346.6 million manats), domestic and foreign borrowing (557.7 million manats) and proceeds from the privatization of state property (112.7 million manats).
