Azerbaijan starts construction of Aghdam-Fuzuli highway

The construction of the road is being implemented as part of the "Project for the Reconstruction and Restoration of the Liberated Territories” approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev in August 2021.

The road, 64.8 km long and 15 meters wide, will have four traffic lanes.

The Aghdam-Fuzuli highway, which is a continuation of the Barda-Agdam highway, will pass through the territories of Aghdam, Aghjabadi and Fuzuli. The construction of the road will ensure the unhindered movement of citizens from Barda to Aghdam and Fuzuli, and in the opposite direction.
