14.02.2022 16:30
At the opening of trading on Monday, the gas price in Europe rose above $1,000 per 1,000 cubic meters for the first time since the end of January amid growing tensions around Ukraine.

The overall increase in gas prices amounted to about 13.7%.

The March futures at the TTF hub in the Netherlands rose to $1,031.8 per 1,000 cubic meters.

The cost of gas had slowed down to $980.

Earlier, several countries reported the evacuation of their embassy staff from Ukraine. Such actions are associated with the aggravation of the situation in the East European country.

Transit of Russian gas through Ukraine also remains low - starting last week at 97million cubic meters, pumping fell to 51.8million cubic meters on February 11. The transit of Russian gas through Ukraine today amount to 58.6 million cubic meters.
