Azerbaijan to shift to winter time Oct. 26

Azerbaijan will shift to winter time on October 26. Clocks will be adjusted an hour backward at 0500 local time. 

Daylight saving time (DST) is the practice of advancing clocks during summer months (that feature more daylight) so that people get up earlier in the morning and experience more daylight in the evening. Typically, users of DST adjust clocks forward one hour near the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn.

Azerbaijan has been using the practice since 1997.
