First int’l tournament to be held in liberated Azerbaijani territories

Today, on May 6, a historic event will take place in the Azerbaijani lands liberated from the Armenian occupation.
For the first time, Sugovshan will host the international rowing tournament President’s Cup-2022, dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The competition will last two days, in which rowers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova and Uzbekistan will take part.
The regatta starts on May 6 in Sugovushan. On the first day, the winners in kayaking and canoeing will be determined.
On May 7 in Mingachevir, at the Kura Olympic Training and Sports Center, athletes will compete in rowing.
The Cup will end with a 3D effect-show on the water and fireworks.
