Georgia reduces electricity imports from Azerbaijan by four times

Georgia imported 120 million kWh of electricity from Azerbaijan in January-April 2022, down 4.16 times from the previous year, reported from the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO). 

In the reporting period, Georgia imported 1,165.1 million kWh of electricity in total. The leading electricity supplier was Russia, with 906.6 million kWh. 

During the first four months, Azerbaijan exported 353.7 million kWh of electricity to Turkiye through Georgia.
