Azerbaijan sees over 14 % rise in non-oil and gas sector of industry

From January through May this year, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field produced industrial products worth 34.9 billion manats ($20.5 billion), or 3.3% more compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
Production in the oil and gas sector rose by 1.1% and in the non-oil and gas sector by 14.3%, reported from the State Statistics Committee.

Some 75.7% of industrial production was formed in the mining sector, 20.3% in the processing sector, 3.5% in the electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply sector, and 0.5% in the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector.

Marketable oil production in the mining sector decreased by 2.7%, while marketable gas production rose by 18.5%.

The production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and the steam sector grew by 2.4%, and the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector grew by 9.2%.
