Azerbaijan's non-oil sector grows by 10%

In January-June 2022, Azerbaijan produced gross domestic product (GDP) worth 63.3 billion manats ($37.3 billion), or 6.2% more than the same period last year, reported from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

The value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy increased by 0.2%, and in the non-oil and gas sector by 9.6%.

According to the committee, 53.3% of GDP production came from the industry, 7.7% from trade; repair of vehicles, 5.8% - transport and warehousing, 4.7% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3.8% - construction, 1.3% - information and communication, 1.3% - tourist accommodation and catering, 14.5% - other fields. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 7.6% of GDP.

Over the past year, the GDP per capita in the country increased by 58.1% to 6,305 manats ($3,711).
