Investment in Azerbaijan's economy ups slightly

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan made 7.301 billion manats ($4.3 billion) from January through July of this year, marking a 0.1% growth over the same period of 2021, reported from the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 15.5% and investments in the non-oil-and-gas sector increased by 12.5%.

Of the last year's investments, 4.492 billion manats ($2.64 billion) or 61.5% were made in production, 2.355 billion manats ($1.4 billion) or 32.3% in services, 453.6 million manats ($266.8 million) or 6.2% in housing construction.

Domestic funds made up 5.427 billion manats ($3.2 billion) (74.3%) of the funds directed to fixed capital and construction and installation work amounted to 5.174 billion manats ($3.04 billion) (70.9%).
