Japan resumed oil imports from Russia in July

In July, Japan resumed oil imports from the Russian Federation, the volume of which was brought to zero in June, while the Japanese trade deficit in bilateral trade increased by 155%.
The country also significantly increased oil supplies from the Middle East, according to the statistics of the country's Ministry of Finance, reported from TASS.

The volume of oil imports from the Russian Federation in July decreased by 65.4% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the volume of imports of liquefied natural gas from the Russian Federation decreased by 26.1% compared to last year, and coal - by 40.1%.

Japan's total oil imports from all over the world rose by 3.8% in July. Exact statistics for each individual country are not given, however, shipments from the Middle East region increased by 10%. These countries account for about 95.5% of all Japanese oil imports, while Russia accounts for just over 1%.
