Gas prices in Europe fall almost 4%

Exchange prices for gas in Europe with delivery in December fell almost 4% on October 31, below $1,400 per 1,000 cubic meters, the London Stock Exchange ICE.

December futures (according to the index of the largest European hub TTF) opened trading in the red at $1,414.9 per 1,000 cubic meters (-1.3%). Prices then declined to $1,382.2 (-3.6%). The price dynamics is based on the settlement price of the previous trading day - $1,433.3 per 1,000 cubic meters.

In October, prices for November futures fell rapidly, dropping below $950 per 1,000 cubic meters. At the same time, later, the December and January futures were much more expensive. So, if according to the results of October 28 trading, the estimated price of gas with delivery in November amounted to $1,156, for December deliveries it was above $1,400.
