European Commission: US second for volumes of gas supplies to EU

The United States is now second biggest gas supplier to EU after Norway.

The country supplies gas in a liquefied form, European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis told an economic conference of Bank of Latvia.

He reminded that supplies from Russia which was the main exporter for EU have dropped.
