Unibank announces a corresponding bank relationship with Bank of New York Mellon

Unibank CB announces a corresponding bank relationship with Bank of New York Mellon. This will serve to broaden Unibank’s business in international settlements whilst also promoting the international money transferring services.
Faig Huseynov, Chairman of the Management Board of Unibank CB, has praised this accord, saying, ‘This co-operation marks another successful step Unibank has taken in expanding its relations with overseas finance institutions. Our bank has implemented all the international procedures successfully and has achieved the co-operation that matters to our customers. Besides, this contract comes as a token of the strong confidence in the bank. Broader international services will further facilitate outbound abroad transfers and payments for our customers – including those that represent the SME and the micro business community.’
It should be mentioned that a direct correspondent account in USD will make USD settlements (international payments) easier and faster for the customers of Unibank whilst also making it possible to reduce the associated commission fees.
