Former German chancellor: Increasing natural gas supply from Azerbaijan necessary

It is necessary to increase the supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan, said the former chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroder.

He noted that Turkiye plays an important role in ensuring gas supply to Europe.

"From 2020 until today, significant work has been done in the direction of transporting natural gas through Azerbaijan to Europe. Therefore, increasing the required pipeline capacity will be very important in strengthening Turkiye's role as an energy hub," former chancellor noted.
