Gold prices declines slightly

Gold prices are somewhat lower on December 29 morning, staying above $1,800 an ounce, reported from the auction data.

The price of February futures for gold on the New York Comex exchange fell by $1.2, or0.07%, to $1,814.55 per troy ounce. March futures for silver rose by 0.01% to $23.843 per ounce.

Since the beginning of December, gold has risen in price by 3.2%. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, the price of the precious metal has risen by less than 1%.
