Social expenses of Azerbaijan's state budget increase by over 12%

In 2022, 11.577 billion manats ($6.8 billion) or 36.1% of the state budget expenditures in Azerbaijan, according to the economic classification, were pro-social expenditures (labour payment fund, pension and social benefits, medicine and food purchase expenses), which is 12.4% higher than in 2021, reported from the country’s Ministry of Finance.
