Azerbaijan's economy grows slightly

In January-February 2023, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product worth 19,812.5 million manats ($11.65 billion), or 0.4% more than in the same period last year, reported from the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, value added decreased by 3.6%, in the oil and gas sector of the economy while it increased by 4.6% in the non-oil and gas sector.

The committee noted that 50.3% of GDP production came from industry, 8.9% from trade; vehicle repair, 5.3% transport and warehousing, 2.5% agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3.8% construction, 1.8% tourist accommodation and public catering, 1.5% information and communication sectors, 16.9% by other sectors, and net taxes on products and imports made up 9% of GDP

Over the past year, GDP per capita in the country grew by 2.4% to 1,956 manats ($1,150).
