Investments in Azerbaijan's economy up over 40%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan made 3,523.1 million manats ($2.07 billion) in January-March 2023, marking a 40.3% growth, reported from the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector increased by 23.8%, and the non-oil-and-gas sector surged by 51.7%.

During the reporting period, 1,941.3 million manats ($1,141 million), or 55.1%, were made in production, 1,396.5 million manats ($821.2 million), or 39.6%, in services, 185.3 million manats ($109 million), or 5.3%, in housing construction.

Domestic funds constituted 2,577.3 million manats ($1,515 million) (73.2%) of the funds directed to fixed capital, and construction and installation work amounted to 2,517.5 million manats ($1,480 million) (71.5%).
