Oil prices fall slightly

World oil prices dropped slightly on Wednesday morning. The markets are evaluating the prospects for demand.

The price of June futures for Brent crude fell by 0.27% to $84.54 per barrel, and June futures for WTI dropped by 0.25% to $80.7.

The oil market is also affected by the financial situation. Soon, new meetings of the world's largest regulators will be held, and investors will assess the prospects for further tightening of monetary policy. Discount rates began to rise last year as part of the fight against inflation.

Meanwhile, according to an estimate by the American Petroleum Institute (API), commercial stocks of crude in the United States fell by 2.7 million barrels in the week to April 14. Official statistics will be published by the US Department of Energy on Wednesday evening. Analysts predict a 1.1 million barrel decline in inventories.
