Azerbaijan posts more than 23% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In January–September 2023, Azerbaijan exported 7,890,400,000 cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 23.1% from the previous year, reported from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

In September alone, the gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye made up 888.52 million cubic meters, up 25.06% from a year earlier.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked second among the countries supplying gas to Türkiye, with a share of 27% in the country’s gas market.

In September, Türkiye imported 3,291.83 million cubic meters of gas, showing a 3.22% decline compared to the same period in 2022.

Russia ranked first by exporting 1,902.17 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, which is 23.53% more than in September 2022.

Algeria ranked third with the export of 399.57 million cubic meters of gas, up 34.76% from September 2022.
