Awards were presented to the winners of the Republican Subject Olympiads held with the support of Kapital Bank

For 7 years, the Republican Subject Olympiads have been held with the support of Kapital Bank, the country’s first bank, and organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Yesterday, the award ceremony for the winners of the 2023-2024 academic year olympiad took place.

During the ceremony, 8 gold medalists who achieved the highest results in the Republic Subject Olympiads, as well as all the winners, were presented with diplomas and awards.

It should be noted that for this academic year, over 62 000 students registered to participate in the olympiad. The competition was organized among students of grades 8-11, across 8 subjects, in 143 centers. Students tested their knowledge in Azerbaijani language and literature, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, history, and geography over 3 rounds. 10,997 students earned the right to participate in the semi-final stage. Out of nearly 1,000 students who advanced to the final stage, 491 emerged as winners. Among them, 244 received bronze medals, 163 received silver medals, and 84 received gold medals.
