Azerbaijan adjusts education schedule to accommodate COP29

Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree on Additional measures to organize the activities of educational institutions operating in Azerbaijan during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th session of the meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the meeting of the parties to the Paris Agreement."

According to the information , which cites the decree, educational establishments in Azerbaijan, except for special educational institutions, will organize the educational process as follows:

For secondary education, autumn holidays will be extended from November 12 to November 22, 2024.

For vocational, secondary specialized, and higher education, education will be conducted remotely from November 12 to November 22, 2024, in the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, and the Absheron district.
