Azerbaijan’s natural gas exports rise by over 3%

Azerbaijan exported more than 13.845 billion cubic meters of natural gas, valued at over $4.755 billion in the first seven months of 2024, reported from the country’s State Customs Committee.

According to the customs declarations, the country’s natural gas exported grew by 3.22 percent in volume and fell by 46.77 percent in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

The share of natural gas in Azerbaijan's total export was 29.54% in January-July of this year.

In total, Azerbaijan's trade transactions with foreign countries surpassed $26.892 billion in the initial seven months of 2024. Of this amount, exports accounted for $16.099 billion and imports were responsible for $10.793 billion. Over the past year, exports decreased by 22.5%, and imports increased by 12.9%.
