On November 4, 2024, Kapital Bank, the Education Development Fund (EDF), and Visa international payment technology company officially launched the "Student Plus” card, a new solution aimed at enhancing the student experience. The launch event took place at Baku State University (BSU), where the top 14 first-year students with the highest entrance exam scores were presented with the very first "TələbəPlus” cards.

In his opening speech, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev expressed his confidence in the success of this initiative. He emphasized that higher education institutions would benefit significantly from the opportunities created by the "Student Plus” card, which offers students an array of advantages across various services. These include discounts related to education, healthcare, culture, and more, making it easier for students to access essential services.
Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Education Development Fund, congratulated the first users of the "Student Plus” cards from BSU and highlighted this initiative as an exemplary model of public-private partnership. He also announced that the next phase of the project would extend to  and secondary education institutions, allowing educators to benefit from the project in the following academic year.

Qara Abdulrahmanov, Director of the Corporate Sales Department at Kapital Bank, noted that beyond offering exclusive privileges, the "Student Plus” card would make students' lives easier by bringing their daily transactions into a digital platform, providing a more efficient way to monitor expenses.
Nurlan Hajiyev, Visa’s Country Manager for Azerbaijan, expressed their commitment to supporting education in Azerbaijan and shared his pride in being part of this project.

The "Student Plus” card offers students special discounts and privileges with over 200 popular partners in areas such as education centers, clothing, food, and dining. Additionally, through an agreement with the Ministry of Culture, students will benefit from discounts at cultural venues, museums, and exhibition halls. Future plans include extending these benefits to services in sports, healthcare, and transportation.
