Zelenskyy estimates Ukraine’s military losses at 45,100
05.02.2025 09:30
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has claimed the armed forces of Ukraine lost 45,100 service members as dead, reported from TASS.

In his words, around 390,000 cases of injuries were reported. Some service members were injured multiple times, he added.

In February 2024, Zelenskyy estimated his military’s death toll at 31,000.

Later, the Strana media outlet reported, with reference to figures submitted by the General Staff to the commander-in-chief’s headquarters, that about 70,000 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 35,000 were missing in action. However, commenting on US President Donald Trump’s remarks about 400,000 Ukrainians lost in action, Zelenskyy said his country lost 43,000 servicemen as dead and 370,000 as wounded.
