Trump, Zelenskyy hold phone talks

Trump, Zelenskyy hold phone talks
13.02.2025 09:30

US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone, the Ukrainian news outlet Novosti. Live reported, citing Zelenskyy's office, reported from TASS.

Earlier on Wednesday, Trump held phone talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a statement that followed, Trump said he planned to inform Zelenskyy of the conversation.

According to Zelenskyy's advisor Dmitry Litvin, Trump and Zelenskyy spoke for about an hour. However, less than 50 minutes passed from the time when Trump posted to the Truth Social platform the message about his talks with Putin to the moment when Zelenskyy's office announced that his conversation with Trump was over. Also, such high-level phone calls between nations require some time for preparation.
