Establishing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia would bring substantial benefits to the entire world, according to Prof. Birol Akgun, Türkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Akgun made the remark during an academic seminar on Technology Geopolitics at Khazar University.

He highlighted Türkiye's strategic role in the reconstruction and restoration of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, stating: "Türkiye will continue to deepen brotherly relations with Azerbaijan."

The ambassador also addressed the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, emphasizing that peace in the region would not only benefit the regional countries but also have a positive global impact.

Furthermore, Akgun underscored Türkiye's strides in domestic production, particularly in the industrial sector and unmanned aerial vehicles, which have marked a significant shift in war doctrines and provided new strategic advantages for the country.

"This development is crucial for Türkiye's national security and for strengthening relations with friendly and allied countries. In this context, cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan is of strategic importance," he noted.

The ambassador emphasized that the two countries have a more effective relationship with joint defense and energy policies.
