Farid Huseynov, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Kapital Bank, the country’s first bank, met with the winner of the fourth “Yukselish” competition, Elnur Abdullazade, as part of a mentorship program on March 19, 2025.

During the meeting, they discussed innovative approaches in the banking sector, digital transformation, modern leadership principles, risk management, and sustainable business development strategies. Farid Huseynov emphasized that knowledge and experience sharing plays a crucial role in shaping successful leaders and noted that the mentorship program under the “Yukselish” competition offers a unique development opportunity for young managers. He also highlighted the importance of the skills and experience Elnur Abdullazade would gain through this process in his future career.

Farid Huseynov noted that the mentee will be actively involved in innovative projects and core business processes at Kapital Bank. Over the course of one year, he will also collaborate with various departments across the bank, observe real work processes, and enhance his management experience.

The “Yukselish” competition was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on July 26, 2019. The project aims to identify and develop promising young managers and strengthen leadership potential across various sectors. The mentorship program is a key part of the competition, providing winners with the opportunity to work directly with influential leaders from both the public and private sectors. Currently, registration for the fifth “Yukselish” competition is ongoing. Applications can be submitted through the official website, yukselish.az, until April 10, 2025.
