SOCAR’s Gas Export Department enters Azerbaijan’s Top 10 Non-Oil Exporters

The Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has entered the country's top 10 state-owned enterprises for non-oil-gas exports for the first time, according to the latest Export Review by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC).

In January–February 2025, SOCAR’s Marketing and Economic Operations Department led the list with $70.4 million in exports. SOCAR Polymer LLC, in which SOCAR holds a 57% stake, ranked second with $30.3 million, followed by Azeraluminium LLC with $23.4 million, and AzerGold CJSC with $21.6 million.

SOCAR’s Gas Export Department secured fifth place, reporting $15.6 million in non-oil-gas exports.

Other companies on the list included Azerpambig Agrarian Industrial Complex LLC ($7.8 million), Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC ($1.9 million), Azerenerji OJSC ($617,600), the Nakhchivan State Energy Service ($164,600), and Garadagh Glass Factory OJSC ($43,000).
