Azerbaijan and Israel sign science cooperation deal

Azerbaijan and Israel have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of science, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said in a post on X.

During his visit to Israel, Nabiyev met with Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Gila Gamliel. The two sides discussed collaboration in innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space, and legal framework development.

Nabiyev said Azerbaijan had invited Israeli tech firms to open offices in the country and to establish knowledge-based manufacturing, IT training centers, and a Center of Excellence in high technologies.
