Smart TV production will soon begin in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district, the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) said on Tuesday.

Taube Electronics LLC has been granted resident status in the park and plans to invest 3.5 million manats (over $2.05 million) in the project, which will create around 20 permanent jobs.

The facility will use Chinese technology and have an annual production capacity of 19,500 smart TVs in four screen sizes: 32, 43, 50, and 55 inches.

The Araz Valley Economic Zone was established by presidential decree in October 2021. It spans 200 hectares and currently hosts 17 resident companies and three non-resident entrepreneurs. Total investment in the zone has exceeded 30 million manats (over $17.6 million), generating nearly 100 permanent jobs.
