Iran's supreme leader not opposed to direct US investment

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is open to direct US investment in the country if planned talks between Tehran and Washington prove successful, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said, according to Report, which the Associated Press.
"The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has no objections to American investment in Iran. US investors - come and invest," Pezeshkian stated.
The Iranian president believes such a statement could appeal to former US President Donald Trump, given his interest in reaching a new agreement on the nuclear deal with Tehran.
Pezeshkian also emphasized that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, insisting the country’s nuclear program is strictly peaceful and scientific in nature.
"We are not chasing the creation of a nuclear bomb. You've [in the West] checked this a hundred times. Go ahead and check it a thousand more," he added.
