The average salary in Azerbaijan rose over 10% in early 2025

The average nominal monthly salary of salaried employees in Azerbaijan reached 1,044 manats in January–February 2025, marking a 10.2% increase compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee reported.

The highest average wages were recorded in mining, finance and insurance, ICT, scientific and technical activities, and transport and logistics.

As of March 1, the number of salaried employees in the economy stood at 1.758 million — with 878,500 in the public sector and 880,300 in the private sector. The largest employment shares were in education (18.7%), trade and vehicle repair (18.6%), industry (13.7%), and healthcare (8.5%).
