Capital investment in Azerbaijan drops 10.1% in Q1 2025

Azerbaijan’s fixed capital investment fell by 10.1% in real terms in the first quarter of 2025, with the nominal value totaling 3.467 billion manats, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Investment in the oil and gas sector declined by 24.2%, while the non-oil sector saw a 2.4% decrease.

Of the total investment, 52.3% (1.814 billion manats) was directed toward production, 28% (970.2 million manats) to services, and 19.7% (682.9 million manats) to housing construction.

Domestic investment accounted for 2.519 billion manats or 72.6% of the total. Construction and installation works received 2.693 billion manats — 77.7% of all capital spending.
