Mirzoyan says Armenia is closer than ever to ties with Turkiye, Azerbaijan

Armenia has never been as close to Türkiye and Azerbaijan as it is today, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with Turkish broadcaster NTV. He was responding to a question about whether now is the right time to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and normalize ties with Turkiye.
“I cannot say this is the perfect moment. There may never be an ideal time. But I can say with confidence — and I believe my Turkish and Azerbaijani colleagues would agree — that we have never been so close to one another,” Mirzoyan said.
“Perhaps now isn’t the right time, perhaps it never will be. But if we honestly assess where we stand today, we can say that we have never been this close to peace and stability,” he added.
