Dollarization declines in Azerbaijan – Central Bank

The level of dollarization in Azerbaijan’s banking sector has decreased in both assets and liabilities, Chief Director of the Central Bank Shahin Mahmudzade said.

“There has been a 0.6% decline in dollarized assets and a 0.35% to 0.8% drop in liabilities. The share of large deposits held in U.S. dollars has decreased from 41% to 39.5%,” he noted.
