Sugar production grows by nearly 46% in Azerbaijan

In January-March 2025, 66,200 tons of sugar were produced in Azerbaijan, 45.5% more year-on-year, Report informs with reference to the country's State Statistics Committee.

Over the past year, the production of sugar confectionery products in the country decreased by 0.8% to 2,166.5 tons.

As of April 1, Azerbaijan had reserves of 13,100 tons of sugar, and 143.8 tons of sugar confectionery products, which is 7.4% and 25.4% more respectively compared to a year ago.

In the first quarter of 2025, food products worth 1.4 billion manats ($820 million) were produced in Azerbaijan, which is 12.2% more year-on-year.
