Azerbaijan deepens financial ties with Türkiye and Georgia — central bank

Azerbaijan is strengthening financial cooperation with neighboring Türkiye and Georgia, the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Aliyar Mammadyarov, said on Thursday.

Speaking at a regional conference on financial partnership in Washington, hosted by the American-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, Mammadyarov highlighted the importance of regional financial integration and strategic engagement with the U.S. financial sector to support cross-border trade, investment, and payment systems.

The CBA delegation is currently in Washington to attend the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
