BTC pipeline exports 7 million tonnes of crude in Q1

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline exported around 7 million tonnes (54 million barrels) of crude oil and condensate in the first quarter of 2025, according to operator bp. The volumes were loaded onto 70 tankers at the Ceyhan terminal and shipped to global markets.
Since its launch in June 2006, the 1,768 km pipeline has transported approximately 598 million tonnes (over 4.5 billion barrels) of crude oil, delivered to 5,932 tankers at Ceyhan.
BTC’s operating expenses for Q1 stood at $32 million, and capital expenditures totaled $13 million.
The pipeline currently transports oil from the ACG field and condensate from Shah Deniz, along with additional volumes from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and SOCAR’s domestic production in Azerbaijan.
