Azerbaijan posts 3 bln manat budget surplus in Jan-Apr 2025

Azerbaijan's state budget posted a surplus of 3.003 billion manats ($1.76 billion) in January–April 2025, according to official data.

Budget revenues totaled 13.96 billion manats, exceeding the forecast by 1.6%. Tax revenues amounted to 6.92 billion manats, 6.1% above projections, while customs revenues reached 2.06 billion manats, up 1.9%.

Transfers from the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) stood at 4.58 billion manats, 5.1% below target, with the remainder coming from other income sources.

State budget expenditures were reported at 10.96 billion manats, or 97.9% of the projected amount.
