Russia to tighten entry rules for foreigners from June 30

Starting June 30, foreigners will no longer be able to travel to Russia with just a ticket. They will need to submit an electronic notice at least 72 hours in advance and obtain a special entry code, Real TV reported.

Under the new rules, entry will only be allowed if the application is approved and the traveler receives a unique code required at the border.

Further details on the implementation of the system have not yet been disclosed.
